BRIT: First Saturday - Fort Worth

BRIT is open to the public on the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for public tours (beginning at 10:30 a.m.), exhibits, and self-guided tours of its LEED Platinum building. In addition, each First Saturday features a unique selection of programs and entertainment focused around a particular theme. Free.

Nov. 2 - Stewardship Day

Learn first-hand how to “walk the walk” of the BRIT mission statement: conserving our natural heritage by deepening our knowledge of the plant world and understanding the value that plants bring to life.

John Bunker Sands Wetland Center: Walk & Talk Bird Tour - Seagoville

More than 250 species have been reported at this 2,100-plus acre wetland. December visitors can expect to see a wide variety of birds, including numerous duck species, Ibis and White Pelicans. Sightings of Greater White Fronted Geese, Snow Geese, Bald Eagles, Barn Owls and Crested Caracaras are also possible.

City of FW: Mayor's Spooky Bike Ride - Fort Worth

Spooky Bike Ride cyclists will meet up at 6 p.m. at T&P Tavern located at 221 W. Lancaster Ave. From there, we will ride to Pioneer's Rest, one of the city's oldest cemeteries, for a surprise visit from some of Cowtown's most memorable figures. 

After the cemetery tour, head back to the T&P Tavern with a parade run around Downtown Fort Worth. T&P Tavern will be ready to serve up great food and drinks, and there will be a Halloween party with a costume contest and more. Prizes for the Best Adult Costume and Best Kid Costume. The Spooky Bike Ride and costume contest are family-friendly.
