Enjoy this meditation that engages the senses, the body and the natural world. Bring a mat or cushion and a water bottle. Dress comfortably and in layers. The practice will be held outdoors. Ages 15 and older. $15/per class.
Family-friendly fall festival features storytelling, karaoke, pumpkin patch, animal encounters, bounce houses and a variety of children's games, crafts and activities. New this year: haunted trail for ages 8 and up. Concessions and some activities have additional costs. No entry after 8:30 pm. $7.

Enjoy refreshments, music and special presentations by artists Devon Nowlin and Tommy Fitzpatrick. Do the "Oxbow Stroll," a casual, two mile run/walk/bike to the heart of the ranch and back.
Volunteers to ‘treasure hunting’ along the shores of Lake Grapevine in search of sparkly jewels that are hidden in the trash. A multi-city, community sponsored effort to beautify the shoreline of Lake Grapevine.
There will be speakers, demonstrations and exhibitors covering all areas of sustainability.

Explore the new Trinity Forest Trail with Trinity Audubon director Ben Jones, who will share birding tips and will help with identification in the field. The ride is flat and easy and about 8 miles round trip. Expect a steady slow pace with frequent stops. Scary scorpions, titanic tarantulas and slithery snakes take their masks off and reveal their not so scary side with educational presentations, activities, arts & crafts and more. Included with admission.
A number of events are planned for the dedication including park tours, fishing, geocaching demonstrations as well as free food. Hot dogs, chips and refreshments will be available to all in attendance.
The nature preserve has been open to the public for a number of years but it was virtually undeveloped with rudimentary trails and no parking. Improvements to the park include a boardwalk into a pond for fishing, small amphitheater for educational programming, new parking accommodations and picnic areas. The preserve’s gates are currently open from 5 a.m. – 10 p.m. Activities such as camping, camp fires, horseback riding, mountain bike riding, swimming and boating are all prohibited.
