POSITION: Seasonal Ecological Restoration Technician

LOCATION: NPAT’s headquarters at Dowell Ranch, Austin

HOURS: Full-time

DESCRIPTION: This position offers hands-on experience in ecological restoration and land management with a focus on Texas grasslands. In addition to fieldwork, the technician will engage in outreach, volunteer coordination, and other tasks that support NPAT’s mission to conserve and restore native prairies. Optional housing can be provided in a private bedroom  the ranch headquarters.

DESCRIPTION: This position will support conservation efforts by working with private landowners to conserve their land, monitoring existing conservation lands to ensure consistency with conservation restrictions, overseeing and implementing management of TLC’s own nature preserves, and building relationships with the community through workshops, outreach events, and workdays.
