The Texas Wildlife Association is a nonprofit striving to connect Texans of all ages with the outdoors through meaningful and informative interactions. Attendees will gain an understanding of the many program avenues through which we achieve this goal. Local volunteer opportunities with the TWA L.A.N.D.S. Intensive and Trinity River Program will be discussed.
The upper reach of Whites Branch is an ephemeral stream on the Fort Worth Prairie located within the ongoing Alliance Town Center mixed-use development in Fort Worth. Planning for this development began in late 2012. One of the key questions for this development was how to handle a stock pond formed by a 50 year dam and ephemeral stream flowing through the development. “For this project, Peloton Land Solutions assembled an extensive interdisciplinary team that included engineers, hydrologists, wildlife biologists, landscape architects, planners, rangeland ecologists, and arborists.
Friends of Tandy Hills Natural Area hosts a Brush Bash one day a year to clear sections of the prairie of invasive and unwanted trees, brush and trash. On some years we re-work previously cleared areas. Your help REALLY makes a difference! Manly Men and Wild Women welcome.
