The Great Seed Bomb: Fort Worth

The Great Seed Bomb is a 15k fun bike ride benefiting bees, monarch and other pollinators. It's a grassroots for the grasslands movement!

During the ride, seed balls – made of clay, organic compost and native, non-GMO milkweed and wildflower seed – are launched from bikes by our riders. A portion of the money raised will be donated to the Native Prairies Association of Texas, a habitat restoration nonprofit, to keep the work going.

Event features:

• ECO Party: After-ride event w/ beer, food trucks, vendors and live music

Friends of Tandy Hills Natural Area: Prairie Posse - Fort Worth

Are you one of those people who has wanted to help out Tandy Hills in a direct way? Here's your chance. Due to unusual spring rains, the most popular trails at Tandy Hills are overgrown with weeds and other plants. A small crew of volunteers is needed to clear the trails and other areas on a monthly basis, every first Saturday, from 8 am - Noon. Our new designation by the state as a Great Texas Wildlife Trail makes this work even more important. Sign up here: info@tandyhills.org.
