Dallas Sierra Club: Easy Day Hike at Windmill Hill Nature Preserve - DeSoto

Come hike what the Dallas Observer called the “Best Urban Hiking Trail in the Metroplex” in 2001. Trails in this preserve aren’t concrete and there are real inclines on rock and packed earth, shaded by mature trees. It's a half mile south of Highway 67 in DeSoto. Exit at Duncanville Road (called South Main street in Duncanville). There’s parking at the corner of Duncanville Road and W. Wintergreen, where DeSoto, Duncanville and Cedar Hill converge. We’ll start hiking at 10 a.m.
