City of Denton: Birding 101- Denton

This class will help teach the basics of bird watching. It is perfect for members of the public that like going for walks at Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center and are interested in learning more about the birds that inhabit it. The class will be taught by Texas Master Naturalist and bird enthusiast Scott Kiester.

Friends of White Rock Lake: Go Native - Dallas

Join the White Rock Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas and native ecosystem expert Randy Johnson on a Walk and a Talk to explore some unique native plants that grow right here in our Blackland prairie at White Rock Lake Park. 

6:30 p.m. Walk: Meetup at the 8050 Scout Hill Drive marquee at the Boy Scout Hill parking lot on the south side of Mockingbird Ln. at the southwest corner of Buckner and Peavy Rd. 

Social: If you cant do the Walk, meetup at the recreation center at 6:45 PM for a social until the Talk at 7:15 - 8:45PM

NANPA Nature Photography Group of North Texas: Big Spring, Great Trinity Forest Sunset Shoot - Dallas

This is the first chance for the public to photograph the Big Spring Landmark Conservation area since 2016. This is one of our Meetup favorite sites, and one of the Great Trinity Forest's most unique spots. We are hoping for a good wildflower year, too.

Connemara Conservancy: Reception for Sculpture Exhibit 'Human Nature' -

Dallas artist Art Garcia is adding to the enjoyment of the Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve this spring and summer with a sculpture exhibition, Human Nature, from May 6-Oct. 31.

Garcia’s collection of colorful steel sculptures representing the human form have been thoughtfully placed throughout the Meadow, which is open to the public daily from dawn to dusk on the border of Allen and Plano.

Reception: May 6, 1-3 p.m.
