Fort Worth Audubon Society: Optics & Technology for Bird Watching - Fort Worth

Jim Jones will give a long asked for presentation to share his knowledge about the equipment selection available to enhance our bird watching experience. The discussion will include optics (binoculars and spotting scopes), photography (DSLRs and digi-scoping), audio (recorders and hearing-enhancement), and digital bird identification resources (desktop/smartphone software and on-line). Jim asks that our more experienced members take part by sharing what works for them. Bring in your favorite optics to allow others to sample.

Explore techniques to photograph wildlife from your backyard to the parks and beyond. Capture birds in flight and get tack sharp images. Explore ways to locate and approach wildlife. Demystify the use of manual mode and explore a choice of photography equipment. Conclude with some simple post processing techniques. 

Workshops are taught by David Hamblet. Register in advance. $15.
