When it rains, it pours… bunnies. Spring deluges wash young cottontails out of their nests. Often found suffering from hyperthermia or gravely battered, they must be rushed to treatment if to survive, then raised to adulthood and released. 

DFW nature lovers challenged to compete in iNaturalist bioblitz

North Texas nature lovers are encouraged to grab their smart phones and head outside for a DFW-wide bioblitz on Easter weekend. During April 14-18, Dallas-Fort Worth is competing with metropolitan areas across the U.S. to see which city can post the most observations on iNaturalist.org, the citizen science website.

Avian experts nest in tiny house in Dallas County

Wildlife trainers Lindsey and Simon McNeny live in a 192-square-foot home, "The Perch," designed for their avian companions. They run "Window to the Wild," educating on wildlife conservation. Located at Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Hutchins, the McNeny's home fosters sustainable living and avian care.

Dallas movie producer launches new green film festival

They aim to expand their efforts nationwide, hosting events like the upcoming Isle du Bois Cleanup and engaging volunteers to preserve nature's beauty.
