GROW Pint Night: Connecting Farm to Lunch Box - Dallas

GROW North Texas hosts panel discussion about the local farm to table movement and its prevalence in early childhood education.

The Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance: 11th annual Farm & Food Leadership Conference - McKinney

The conference offers sessions for farmers, local food enthusiasts, homesteaders, farm-to-table chefs, organic gardeners and sustainability activists. A full day of pre-conference workshops also is offered for small-scale farmers and livestock growers. The keynote will be presented by Frederick Kirschenmann, international leader in sustainable agriculture and president of Stone Barn Center for Food and Agriculture in New York.

Keep Dallas Beautiful: STAR Certified Master Composter Class - Dallas

This master composter class is certified by the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR). Class features hands-on composting and building a composting system at the New Hope Garden at the Austin Street Center in Dallas for the homeless.

Internationally known environmental education, Larry Wilhelm is the class instructor.  Larry created this program and has taught Master Composting classes for over 25 years. Larry’s passion for a sustainable environment and depth of experience makes the course informative, motivational and entertaining.
