The Spring Festival will feature; taiko drummers, tea ceremonies, raku pottery, Japanese dancers and martial arts.

The event commemorates National Public Gardens Day, drawing attention to our nation's public gardens, which include botanical gardens, arboreta, conservatories, educational gardens and historical landscapes. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden offers 110 acres that include the historic Rose Garden, Fuller Garden, Japanese Garden and more.

The McKinney Tour de Coop is an annual educational tour of urban chicken coops. This unique event allows the future hobbyist or curious spectators an opportunity to get an intimate look at several interpretations of what constitutes an "ideal" backyard chicken coop set-up.

Starting in 2018, the 6th Annual Tour de Coop's proceeds will benefit the Historic Chestnut Square and the Farmers Market held on most Saturdays in McKinney, Texas.

Fest features dozens of vendor booths with plant sales, home improvement products and local/handmade crafts, as well as special celebratory activities for Arbor Day, a Kids' Zone with bounce houses, a live TRASHion Fashion Runway Show at noon, educational workshops and live music. Local printer Pan Ector Industries will be live printing exclusive Redbud Festival and Keep Denton Beautiful merchandise.

Market patrons are invited to tour Tiny Houses from Indigo River Tiny Homes, a local tiny house builder. Texas Tree Foundation is sponsoring the event and will be offering free native pecan trees to take home and plant for those who purchase $50 worth of tokens or more at the market.

Try out a variety of telescopes, look at visible planets, constellations, stars and chat with astronomers from the Fort Worth Astronomical Society about astronomy and their equipment. Or have a listen as our Storytellers weave tales of the outdoors

We’ll also be making s’mores and hot chocolate and roasting hot dogs around the campfire, so bring your lawn chair and flashlight, and come join our Star Party in the Park! 

A new season of monthly star parties in association with Fort Worth Astronomical Society. Stargazers, skywatchers, astronomers, kids, grownups, singles, couples, groups, all ages welcome. No dogs, please. Free.

Join GNSI Texas for a Spring Outdoor Sketch Trip. The Tandy Hills Natural Area is a 160-acre native prairie in the heart of Fort Worth. We'll meet up to paint what *hopefully* will be a spectacular wildflower display – all ages and abilities are welcome!

Meet at the park on View Street, and the group will hike out together from there. Remember to bring plenty of water and snacks.

6th annual Blooms Festival home and garden festival features a plethora of goods from seasonal plants to furniture and home decor along with food trucks, kid's activities. Native Plant Society of Texas Cross Timbers Chapter will have a booth selling plants at the event, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
