Dallas Sierra Club: Day Hike at Cedar Ridge Preserve - Dallas

Meet at the entrance between the parking lot and the Clubhouse. Wear good shoes, as we'll walk about 6 miles, not paved, to the Cattail Pond, the Possumhaw Trail and the Bluebonnet trail, among the trees. We'll stop for lunch about halfway, at the picnic tables. Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area: Owl Prowl at Central Park - Lewisville

Owls hooting, armadillos rustling in the underbrush, maybe a coyote howling…we never know what we might hear on a night hike on the trails through Central Park. Join our guides as they lead a stroll down the trail, listening for owls as we go. We’ll end our hike by warming up around a campfire, where we will make s’mores and sip hot chocolate. $5/per person. Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area: Night Hike - Lewisville

Join our trail guides as they lead a twilight stroll down one of LLELA’s nature trails. We may hear some bumps in the night, but have no fear...it’s probably just an armadillo. Howling coyotes, hooting owls, and other nocturnal sounds will provide an out-of-the-ordinary hiking experience. Ages 5 and up. $10/person.
