New North Texas center to serve as hub for sustainability experts

Sustainability advocates from DFW gathered at UTA to launch the Regional Center of Expertise North Texas. The center, led by Meghna Tare, aims to advance sustainable education without implementing policies and will focus on the UN’s goals in education, health, and sustainable communities. Five committees will guide its initiatives.

New TCU minor explores human-animal relationships

Texas Christian University in Fort Worth offers Texas's first minor exploring human-animal relationships, directed by Dr. David Aftandilian. An Arlington resident wants to entice residents to ditch the Black Friday sales and tear the kids away from their video games and go outside next Friday, Nov. 23, for a Nature Crawl.

Jim Domke, a former photo editor and writer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, aims to introduce folks to four nature parks he describes as hidden gems in Arlington.
