Where: REI Sports, 4515 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, Texas.
REI is on the westbound access road on the north side of I-635. We meet upstairs. Park at REI, go in the main entrance, and up the stairs. Turn to the left and follow the aisle all the way to the meeting rooms. There is also an elevator for anyone who may require it.

Robert's presentation is derived from experience gained while designing new and remodeling many old homes, schools and commercial facilities over several decades. Much of the information is derived from established organizations such as the US Green Building Council, US Department of Energy, EPA, National Renerable Energy Laboratory, and others.
Covered are many "best building design and construction" practices to achieve sustainable living environments that are comfortable, healthy, and eco-friendly. My personal research and experience in passive solar design, solar energy use, residential indoor environmental quality and air quality, building energy and water use, form the foundation for this presentation.
About our Presenter
Robert is a LEED-Accredited Professional architect whose forte is environmental design -- the art of blending building and landscape architecture. Robert has 35 years' experience in the architectural profession where he has led design teams to complete several high profile commercial, public and private facilities. Robert has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Design and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, American Solar Energy Society, and an Energy Star Partner.
 
Robert is an advocate for energy efficient sustainable building design. He teaches Sustainable Building Design Principals, Passive Design Theory, as well as Resource cCnservation Measures and Techniques for the USGBC-North Texas Chapter, and the University of Texas in Arlington's Division for Enterprise Development.
