One Saturday each month, we invite individuals and groups to assist us with outdoor projects based on current needs. Projects may include trail building, habitat management, invasive plant removal, working in our gardens and much more. Corporate and other groups welcome, but please call ahead: 469-526-1991.
Please bring your favorite work gloves, shovel, litter picker upper, or gardening tools.
Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and for working in a natural area (long pants, long sleeves, sturdy shoes, hat).
Water and snacks will be available.

Learn the basics and benefits of rainwater harvesting and the effects stormwater has on the environment. Participants will learn how to collect and utilize rainwater at home and have the opportunity to construct their own 55-gallon rain barrel. Class fee of $50 includes materials and rain barrel and is due at the door when you arrive at the course.

When the trash is all bashed, volunteers are treated to an after party with free food, door prizes and entertainment at from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Panther Island Pavilion – 395 Purcey St., Fort Worth, Texas 76102.

David White, Troop 615, will tell us all about his SWNP project, from his initial idea, through the approval and fundraising process and finally an update on the actual construction and installation.

Get your hands dirty with TLC by helping clean up our preserve and maintain the trails. This 120-acre preserve is in the heart of the Oak Cliff neighborhood and well-loved by the people of Dallas, especially the mountain biking community.
Please arrive by 8:45am to get registered and bring closed-toed shoes and a water bottle. Snacks provided by KIND Bars. If you have a favorite pair of work gloves or pruning tools (loppers or handsaws), please bring those as well. Children over 12 are welcome, if accompanied by an adult.
Dallas-based artist Sally Warren addresses littering using poetic images in her exhibit "Convenience Store." Opening reception May 13 from 6-8 p.m.
Annual conference hosted by Brite Divinity School, TCU and University Christian Church geared to members of the Christian faith tradition. This year the entire conference covers environmental topics. Open to the public. Free.
