Zero Waste DFW Alliance: Final Vote: Fort Worth 20-Year Recycling Plan - Fort Worth

Join recycling advocates at City Hall as officials consider the final adoption of Fort Worth's 20-year recycling plan. We want to ensure that the most ambitious programs, like composting in neighborhoods and restaurants, recycling for businesses and industrial operations, are included.

Public testimony is needed to remind Fort Worth city council members that we want the best programs for recycling and composting no matter where we live, work or play. You can sign up to testify at the meeting and you will have three minutes at the microphone.

Keep Dallas Beautiful: STAR Certified Master Composter Class - Dallas

This master composter class is certified by the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR). Class features hands-on composting and building a composting system at the New Hope Garden at the Austin Street Center in Dallas for the homeless.

Internationally known environmental education, Larry Wilhelm is the class instructor.  Larry created this program and has taught Master Composting classes for over 25 years. Larry’s passion for a sustainable environment and depth of experience makes the course informative, motivational and entertaining.
