The Environmental Collection Center is the City's permanent drop off facility for unwanted household hazardous materials (anything with a warning label), electronics and recyclables. This facility is operated by the City's Environmental Services Department and is open the second Saturday of every month from 10 am - 3 pm, and the Thursday and Friday before the second Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Collecting residential hazardous waste, paper shred, electronics, tires, bulk trash. Must provide current Saginaw water bill.

A chance for residents to bring in their old, bulky items that are too large to set out for regular curbside pickup and their boxes of materials to be shredded free of cost to the Environmental Collection Center, 616 S. Wisteria St. Mansfield.

Community welcome to bring old bills, statements, checks, credit card offers, tax info, letterhead, brochures, file folders, post-its, paper, newspaper, envelopes, photos for shredding. Free.

Event lasts until 1 p.m. or the shred truck is full.

Please bring your clean #6 Styrofoam to be recycled!

-meat trays

- fast food clam shell containers

-cups

-packing materials

We cannot accept packing peanuts and certain other packing materials.

Last week, Arlington City Council voted to approve an ordinance that would require all new apartment complexes to provide recycling. Thanks to public pressure from recycling advocates, city council members also said this was just Phase I and they called for more public input on recycling programs and policies that could apply to all existing apartments.

More than 100,000 Arlington residents live in apartments complexes and most of them do not have access to simple recycling programs for materials like glass, paper, plastics and metals. 

Shredding is limited to 5 (banker box size) boxes per vehicle. All major credit cards, cash and checks are accepted. $5/box.
