Environmental Co-op: Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event - Terrell

The Environmental Co-op will accept all consumer electronics (including monitors & TVs); small household appliances (including microwaves); all cell phones; and all batteries. In addition, eye glasses will be collected for the Lion’s club. No limit to paper shredding for individuals. However, there are limits for businesses.

The Environmental Co-op is a 501(c)3 local non-profit. Any cans or cash donations will support further local environmental education and recycling efforts. info: 972-524-0007 or eco@trashbusters.org.   

 

 

DCCCD: The New American Landscape: Passive Water Harvesting - Dallas

Nate Downey is author of “Harvest the Rain: How to Enrich Your Life by Seeing Every Storm as a Resource”. He is an expert in both passive and active water harvesting systems as well as wastewater harvesting and community water harvesting techniques.

For over a decade, Downey has spoken, taught and written about permaculture practices. He owns Santa Fe PermaDesign, a landscape-design firm whose projects emphasize beauty, function and ecology.

All day workshop: $175.
