All ages are invited to join this free outdoor walk hosted by the city of Dallas' Environment Education Initiative. The first 175 people to register online get free Camelbak water bottle and T-shirt.

Vintage Tex, Colleyville’s vintage clothing boutique, is hosting its 2nd annual Spring Tea Party to promote upcycling, recycling and enjoying all things vintage. 

The outdoor fair features local artists and purveyors of vintage clothing, accessories and home goods, live music, coffee and gourmet teas and baked goods. Photographer will be on hand to capture portraits of shoppers in vintage clothing. Free.

Annual festival dating back to the 1930s, featuring local vendors selling trees and plants, gardening products, landscaping and home improvement items. In addition, there will be workshops, children's environmental activities, a recycled fashion show  and festival foods. Free.

Plastics entrepreneur Jeff Drummond will share about his project, which is making use of existing plastics to create 100 percent recycled and biodegradable products.

The City of Arlington Master Composter volunteers hold composting classes the second Saturday of every month at the composting display in the Science Center's parking lot area. The class includes demonstrations of proper pile building, and a worm compost bin. Attendees will receive a book. Info: 817.459.6778 or visit www.arlingtontx.gov. Free.

Throwing unused or expired medications with regular trash or flushing them down the toilet creates additional hazards. To offer a safe alternative, the Drug Enforcement Administration partners with the city of Arlington to host medication drop off days twice a year. See website for locations.
