North Texas Corporate Recycling Association: Eco-Bus Tour - McKinney

The North Texas Corporate Recycling Association's seventh annual Eco-bus tour. This year's theme:  "LEED, Lights, & Lager." Stops include Pat Lobb Toyota and Franconia Brewing in McKinney with presentation by Perfectly Green. Close-toed flat shoes are required for the tour. Optional networking lunch at 11 a.m. at Hedary’s Mediterranean Grill. $15-$35/tour. Additional $19/lunch.

City of Arlington: Electronic Recycling Event - Arlington

Arlington residents can bring old monitors, keyboards, printers, radios, VCRs, video cameras  – anything electronic, with the exception of large, household appliances such as refrigerators, washers and dryers. Call 817-317-2000 for disposal of those items. Proof of Arlington residency is required.

Remember also that the Arlington Landfill accepts old computers and computer-related equipment for recycling year-round. Just drop the items off at the landfill where they will be stored and then taken to a recycler. City of Dallas: Home Chemical Collection Day - Dallas

For residents of Dallas, Addison, DeSoto, Duncanville, Farmers Branch, Garland, Highland Park, Irving, Mesquite, Richardson, Rowlett, Sachse, Seagoville, Sunnyvale, University Park and unicorporated Dallas County.  Bring your driver's license and utility bill as proof of address. Info:  214-670-4475

City of Plano: E-Waste Collection Event - Plano

The city of Plano's partner, United Electronic Recycling, hosts e-waste events the first, second and third Saturday of the month. See website for other locations.

United Electronic Recycling:

  • Accepts all computer related equipment, printers, audio & video equipment, consumer electronics, cell phones, and TVs*.
  • Has a ZERO landfill or incinerator initiative! They are in full compliance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) for identity theft certification, by Federal Mandate and enforced by the Federal Trade Commission.
  • Provides free data destruction (DOD Level 3 HD Erasure) at their physical location.
  • Offers corporate services including secure data erasure, hard drive shredding, asset recovery, and Certificate of Destruction.
  • Provides free pick-up of bulk amounts of equipment to businesses and schools**.

Texas Campaign for the Environment: Recycling Wish List Fundraiser - Dallas

Susybelle Gosslee, Advocacy Chair for the Dallas League of Women Voters, will be hosting a party at her home in North Dallas. Special appearance by Dallas' longest-serving City Council Member, Sandy Greyson, and a "Recycling Wish List" that guests will create to send in a letter to the North Pole. Come eat, drink and be merry! $25 minimum. Tickets include food from Celebration Restaurant and drinks from Salt Lick Cellars, Peticolas Brewery and Tito's Vodka. All proceeds will benefit Texas Campaign for the Environment!
