Arlington Parks & Natural Spaces Community Meetings

The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a series of public meetings to get community input on Arlington's parks and natural spaces.Topics for discussion include: Recreation and Aquatic Centers, Natural Areas and the Environment, Trails and Greenways, Forestry and Beautification, Recreational Trends (dog parks, skateboard facilities, community gardens, etc.) and
Park Development (athletic fields, picnic areas, playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, etc.).

Meatout 2013 - Dallas

Free event touting vegetarian lifestyle sponsored by the Black Vegetarian Society of Texas. Activities include cooking demonstrations, holistic speakers, food sampling, food vendors, health screenings, health and environmentally-friendly exhibitors and children’s activities.

Earthfest - Coppell

Free event featuring Earthen Ware vendors (carved wood art, organic foods, handmade jewelry, etc.), environmental education booths, kids' crafts/entertainment, plant sale, hybrid car show and live music. Drop off usable household goods and clothing/shoes, household documents for secured shredding and bulky trash items at Town Center Elementary School parking lot (185 N. Heartz).
