Project Wild Workshop for Educators - Dallas

Learn how to teach young people about ecology and wildlife using fun, hands-on educational activities. During the six-hour training workshop participants will sample activities and receive a curriculum and activity guide. Activities are adaptable for all grade levels, integrated with core subject curricula and aligned to the TEKS. Teachers, informal educators and youth group leaders may take the training. Love Our Native Plants and Prairies Day - Dallas

The North Texas Master Naturalists are hosting this family-friendly event to celebrate native plants and grasses. There will be activities for kids, including making seed balls and cornhusk dolls and storytellers. In addition to the demonstration and information outreach booths, there will be plant walks/talks beginning at 9 am. Speakers will give 20-minute talks on the hour and half-hour starting at 10 am. Arlington Parks & Natural Spaces Community Meetings

The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a series of public meetings to get community input on Arlington's parks and natural spaces.Topics for discussion include: Recreation and Aquatic Centers, Natural Areas and the Environment, Trails and Greenways, Forestry and Beautification, Recreational Trends (dog parks, skateboard facilities, community gardens, etc.) and Park Development (athletic fields, picnic areas, playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, etc.). Meetings to be held March 25, March 28, April 1, April 4 and April 15. See link for locations and times.
