• 5th course: Chia rice pudding with candied currants and cacao nibs. Paired with Lakewood Punkel.

Using River Legacy's unique riparian forest as a backdrop, regional forester Courtney Blevins will teach participants about the structure, function and value of trees. Learn about the Texas Tree Trails program and its benefits of identifying trees, learning about historical trees and accessing trees and tree trails using the Texas Trees Trails Web site. This adult workshop is best suited for ages 10 and up. Kids' Christmas Bird Count gives children a taste of the real Christmas Bird Count, the 100-plus-year-old annual citizen scientist survey that provides data on population trends of North American species.
