Mayor Rawlings and the Dallas City Council will be voting on the three Trinity East drilling sites that were denied twice by the City Plan Commission. The three special-use permits at issue involve Trinity River floodplain and parkland in northwest Dallas.

The Dallas City Plan Commission is holding a public hearing on the new proposed gas drilling ordinance they’ve been writing this summer. Among the most important issues they are considering: how far away drilling should be from homes, schools and businesses, and whether we should allow drilling on city-owned park land. This is likely the last chance to come express concerns.
