Joining us for this event will be Jasmine Leyva, who is featured in the film and is one of its directors as well. After the screening, Jasmine will speak briefly and participate in a Q and A session.
The film will start at 4 p.m. Vegan munchies will also be available for purchase from DeSoto African American owned restaurants.

Dallas Water Conservation is collaborating with Texas AgriLife Extension to offer classes to create a water efficient landscape that can also be pollinator friendly and provide food for you and your family. This is the second of five free classes. Each class is independent and do not need to be taken together.

We’ll discuss space saving techniques such as “trellising,” hanging baskets and wall mounted grow boxes, as well as traditional containers. We’ll also teach organic growing basics including planting, fertilizing and harvesting.
