Festival featuring outdoor activities, live music and food vendors. Attendees can test their skills at archery, climbing, kayaking, biking, and geo-caching; view demonstrations by historians and craftsmen of the Cross Timbers eco-region; or take a carriage ride down the Greenbelt Trail. Kid's activities include birds of prey and reptile exhibits, pony rides, Backyard Bass competition and an inflatable obstacle course and slide. Organized by the Greenbelt Alliance of Denton County, together with Texas Parks and Wildlife, the city of Denton, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.

The North Central Chapter of the Texas Native Plant Society is hosting its annual fall native plant sale. The sale will feature plants grown by chapter members including ground covers, shrubs, vines and trees.
The North Central Texas Environmental Stewardship Forum is dedicated to bringing together North Central Texas agencies to share best practices, lessons learned and resources to support environmental initiatives. The NCTESF’s efforts are culminating in its annual conference.
