Texas Discovery Gardens joins in a park-wide July 4th celebration by offering $1 admission to the gardens and butterfly exhibit and extended hours.
Fazlun Khalid, one of the world’s foremost Muslim environmental scholars, will present "A Green Ramadan." In addition, Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, author of "Green Deen – What Islam Teaches about Protecting the Planet,' and Saffet Catovic and Faraz Khan, co-founders of Green Muslims of New Jersey, will be featured.

AIA Dallas Committee on the Environment (COTE), USGBC North Texas, and the CSI Dallas Chapter are partnering to showcase the latest green building products and technologies for commercial and residential use.
NTX Sustainable Showcase is for architects, engineers, interior designers, developers, contractors, owners, facilities managers and others interested in the sustainable building industry. This event will provide panel presentations with experts in the industry who will review why to choose healthy materials, how they affect designs, and how to implement in projects.

Recycle Revolution hosts this free gathering featuring live music, food trucks, drinks, ping-pong tournament, films, workshops, arts and crafts and tours of the zero-waste facility.
Bright colors and bold patterns redefine nature in Texas Discovery Gardens’ latest art exhibition "Portals." Large scale acrylics and monotypes by Jackie MacLelland feature alternative perspectives. Ceramic birds and printed columns are also on display.
An opening reception will be held May 25, 4-6 pm. $4-8. Free admission for visitors attending the reception.
