Daggett Montessori Green Team: Recycling & Sustainability Fair - Fort Worth

The Recycling and Sustainability Fair is three-fold: drop off for hard-to-recycle items, education and community support. Several organizations will attend that will be taking materials for recycling or reuse. It is also an event to educate the public about what and how to recycle, air quality, stormwater quality and the effects of single-use disposable bags. The event will also support Daggett Montessori #GreenTeam and #PTA in its challenge to win $500 to $5,000 through the RecycleBank #CleanGreenFW Challenge. Attendees can also sign up for RecycleBank at the fair. 

Connemara Conservancy: Dog Valentine's Day - Allen

The Connemara Conservancy will celebrate Valentine’s Day by welcoming dogs back to the Meadow Nature Preserve with a special “Bring A Dog, Bring A Donation” fundraiser.

Residents are invited to bring up to three dogs to the Nature Preserve on the border of Allen and Plano for a $10 donation per dog. 

Permits good for six months will also be available for dog owners who would like to bring their dogs to the Meadow on a regular basis. Dogs must remain leashed and owners must clean up after their pet. Other rules will also apply.

City of Lewisville: ColorPalooza - Lewisville

ColorPalooza will feature a wide variety of exhibits and interactive events with a “spring feel” for the whole family. 

Visitors will get to show off their artistic abilities, watch skilled artists create one-of-a kind sculptures and paintings, and learn how to better care for the Earth and make their homes more environmentally friendly. There also will be emphasis on interactive events for children, including inflatable play structures and creative arts and crafts stations.

Keep Flower Mound Beautiful: Fall Trash Bash & Environmental/Health Fair - Flower Mound

At 8:30a.m., volunteers will be assigned to clean up a certain area, park or trail around the town. Volunteers will receive giveaways and lunch provided by FM Summit Club. The fair will begin at 11:00 am and end at 1:00 pm. The fair will have a variety of booths promoting safe and fun environmental practices. There will be plenty of children's activities including a rock wall and bounce obstacle course. A special event at this year's fair is the First Responders Face off an obstacle course between FM Police and Fire Departments.

Document shredding for all FM residents, provided by Shred-It.

Blood Drive- Carter Blood Care

CCA- will be collecting gently used clothing, housewares and small appliances. 

Best buy will be collecting small to medium sized electronics for recycle.
