Wildlife advocate David Mizejewski will be at Earth Day Texas promoting the mission of the National Wildlife Federation in the Automobile Building, Main Stage A.

Come see Mizejewski and his wildly entertaining animals!

Palo Pinto Mountains State Park: Star Party - Strawn

Hosted by: Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas, Fort Worth Astronomical Society, Strawn Chamber of Commerce and Palo Pinto Mts. State Park. 

Bring your own telescope or use one of ours to explore the heavens and learn about nearby constellations. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available. (Port-A-Potty available in the park, but no water or electricity)

Directions:

From I-20, exit 361 to Highway 16, north to Strawn 4 miles.

From U.S. Highway 180, travel south on Hwy 16 to Strawn.

In Strawn, take FM 2372 (Tucker Lake Road) west for 2 miles then look for the signs. 

 

Tarrant County College: Spring Fling - Fort Worth

Earth Day celebrations featuring activities, airbrush tatoo artist, contests and food. 

In addition speakers will offer programs prior to the fest at the Student Center, WSTU 1303:

City of Dallas: Poet Evelyn Rogers - Dallas

Poet Evelyn Rogers will read from her book  A Little Piece of Mind, and discuss her love of poetry. In “A Little Piece of Mind,” the author reflects on changes she has seen during her life in our social and natural environment. Evelyn Rogers is a resident of Dallas, and works for the City of Dallas Environmental Services Department. Free.
