Outdoor festival featuring public kite flying, show and stunt kites, North Texas Hang/Paragliding Association, kite giveaway, Blackland Prairie raptors, face painting, and paper airplane making. In honor of our armed forces, there will be flags and patriotic music in the gardens along with free admission all four days for all active and retired military personnel with valid photo ID. In Pecan Grove, kids can enjoy a petting zoo and face painting, and on Monday, May 26, $1 hotdogs, popcorn and fried pies will be offered. This weekend of patriotic celebration will conclude with two free Eddie Coker concerts on Monday at 11am and 2pm.
Volunteers needed to work with Arlington Parks Dept staff to clean up trash and debris and help with the butterfly garden and wildflower bed.

The Dallas Arboretum will be celebrating Mothers of the Military with a concert by The Navy Cruisers band on the Martin Rutchik Concert Lawn. The Navy Cruisers band is the only band commissioned to play at the Vice-President’s yearly picnic at the White House. $10-$15.

Festival to encourage bicycling as an alternative mode of transportation for all ages. Event features a group ride, Kid's Bicycle Safety Rodeo, vendors that specialize in bicycling information and equipment, bike checks and cycling groups. Free.
1 mile/5K walk and fun run for humans and dogs, benefitting the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. $5-$30.
