Texas Conservation Alliance: Annual Meeting & Event - Dallas

Starts with a prairie restoration activity fun for all ages. Program starts at 10:30 a.m. with keynote Brian Trusty, vice president of National Audubon, artist-environmentalist Ximena Coronado of Garland High School and other interesting folks. Around noon, the event will conclude with a guided walk along the Trinity River.

Bob Jones Nature Center: Pollinator Paradise - Southlake

Tour the new pollinator garden with BJNC’s certified native plant landscaper and Native Plant Society of Texas member Andrea Marshall. Andrea will deliver a presentation on the importance of native plants and the design of the garden followed by a guided tour. There will be supervised pollinator themed crafts and activities set up separately for kids four and up. $5-$7. 

Plano International Festival - Plano

Tour the world and improve your wellness at the Plano International Festival. The area's largest cultural event offers food, fun and entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy multicultural music and dance performances, ethnic food trucks and cultural displays from over 100 countries. Hands-on children's activities, foreign film screening, flag parade, and the area's only outdoor naturalization ceremony round out the fun. Come early for the popular Fitness and Wellness Fair with free flu shots and health screenings for kids and adults, plus interactive fitness demos.

Oliver Nature Park: Fall Scavenger Hunt - Mansfield

Enjoy a naturalist-led walk with the purpose of searching, examining, learning and checking off unique fall finds on your scavenger hunt list. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.

- All participants over 2 years of age mush pre- register for this program.

- Each child must have at least one adult attending and registered for the program. We encourage this program for the whole family!
