Eileen Birnbaum worked in the legal field for 27 years before begining the World Wear Project, LLC 2 years ago. Through her efforts, this business has been a force not only for landfill diversion, but distribution of clothing resources and fund raising for schools, religious institutions, community organizations and a variety of other nonprofits. Hear her story, get educated about opportunities to further reduce our landfill contributions and grab some lunch from the Texas Harvest Pie Company.

This event is hosted by DFW Ecovillage.The Texas Public Utility Commission has approved a 50 percent increase in wholesale electricity rates. Our speaker CT Loyd will explain many DIY no-cost and low-cost ways to make homes more energy efficient. He will also explain when DIY is appropriate and when we might need the help of a professional.

Join a multi-city clean up focusing on communities served by the Trinity River watershed. Volunteers will contribute to make the city cleaner and prevent litter flowing into rivers, streams and lakes. Volunteers are needed to clean up by canoe or along the banks of the river.
