North Texas Renewable Energy Group: Solarize Your Neighborhood - Irving

Join the North Texas Renewable Energy Group and Plano Solar Advocates to discuss the "Solarize" concept. "Solarize" is a group bulk-purchase process that can help neighborhoods and cities install rooftop solar photovoltaics at reduced cost. Learn how you can start a solarize program in your neighborhood. The goal of the meeting will be to begin creating a network of people across the DFW area that are interested in launching projects in their own communities.

Presentation by Larry Howe and Bob Litwins of Plano Solar Advocates.

Film Screening: "Speciesism" - Dallas

"Speciesism: The Movie" takes viewers on a sometimes funny, sometimes frightening adventure across the country, to expose the biggest secrets about modern "factory farms" and to ask the biggest questions about the belief that our species is more important than the rest. You’ll never look at animals the same way again. Especially humans.

Director Mark Devries will be on hand at the Texas premiere for a Q&A afterwards.
