Join Amanda Griffin, Texas licensed irrigator and water educator, as she shows you how to master your irrigation system!  Amanda will show you how different components affect water usage, and strategies to help get the maximum plant health for the minimum amount of water.  You will leave with a true understanding of the critical part that an irrigation system plays in a beautiful, healthy landscape.

Celebrate Earth Day at this fun festival with exhibits, speakers, films, music, food & more focused on making a positive impact on our environment.

The heart of the festival is the Eco Expo, and exhibitors will use their presence to promote their achievements as green leaders, and teach attendees how to take environmentally responsible action by better utilizing available resources, switching to eco-friendly products, or joining their organizations.

Earthships are self sustained, off-grid houses made out of recycled materials that provide for all human needs of shelter, comfort, water and power. Earthships collect their own rain water, create their own solar & wind power, and maintain a consistent temperature in any climate through thermal mass. This workshop is an in depth overview of how to build an Earthship, and how each system works. There is a fee of $100 for the instructor, and includes the instruction booklet. The workshop will take place at our transitional community just South of Tyler, on April 7th and 8th. This meeting focuses on the District 1 area but all citizens are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The Plano City Council wants to hear your ideas and concerns about your community and answer any questions you may have about city services and programs.

The District 1 Neighborhood Roundtable will be at Plano Centre on Thursday, March 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. Mayor and City Council with staff support will discuss topics of interest. The agenda will be posted 72 hours prior to the meeting. If you are not sure of your district, a map of district boundaries is available.

He’ll bring hands-on examples of real fossilized shark teeth and offer book signings (books available for purchase in the MNS gift shop).
