Off the Beaten Path - Fort Worth

Off the Beaten Path: Summer is not typically the most desired time to go hiking in North Central Texas. However, if you prepare in advance with cooler clothes, water and a shaded trail, you can enjoy an excursion.

We have a path where you will be completely covered with shade and it is a trail that gets overlooked all the time. Join us and discover this hidden treasure that is off the beaten path.

$5 (with paid admission)/MEMBERS FREE.

*Venus Transit Day: Since Venus orbits between the Earth and the Sun, we have the opportunity to see it transit (pass in front of the Sun) every so often.

On June 5th, we will have that opportunity. Join Nature Center staff and Fort Worth Astronomical Society members in celebrating this event. We will have activities for kids and of course, scopes set up to see Venus move across the sky with the Sun as our backdrop.
