The session will be broken into a panel discussion with an introduction, first, from a dignitary from the city of Dallas.

Family friendly event with a focus on its ecofriendly exhibitors and education. More than forty vendors will showcase their green products and services. Classes and demonstrations on environmental awareness will take place throughout the day. Ecofest Arlington will also have many children's activities including games, crafts and educational presentations. The city will be giving away trees while supplies last. Free.

Earth Day Texas: Earth Day 50 Kickoff - Dallas
The Earth Day 50 Challenge campaign aims to recruit the top 50 corporations to engage in a responsible and respectful dialogue about implementing greener policies. A small change made at a big corporation, like Apple or Walmart, makes a big difference and we want these corporations to lead the charge on protecting our oceans, climate and forests. The kickoff meeting for the campaign will feature a documentary about climate change and brainstorming sessions on campaign tactics.

Join us as we look at visible planets, constellations, stars and chat with our brilliant astronomers from the Fort Worth Astronomical Society about astronomy and their equipment. We’ll also have the campfires going and will be making s’mores, so bring your lawn chair, warm coat and flashlight!
