The city of Dallas has launched their Property Assessed Clean Energy Finance Program. Join the Dallas 2030 District to learn more about the insider details of the new financing tool, as far as the mechanics of the application process and the specifics of PACE Commercial Real Estate. The session will be broken into a panel discussion with an introduction, first, from a dignitary from the city of Dallas.

Family friendly event with a focus on its ecofriendly exhibitors and education. More than forty vendors will showcase their green products and services. Classes and demonstrations on environmental awareness will take place throughout the day. Ecofest Arlington will also have many children's activities including games, crafts and educational presentations. The city will be giving away trees while supplies last. Free.

Join Women in the Environment for its annual Networking Breakfast. Members will have an opportunity to share their story, product, business cards and passion for the environment with other like-minded women (and men).  Non-members are invited, too, but only members will have the opportunity to share their information. Walk the gardens after the breakfast for a great way to celebrate the morning! $20-$25.

The 5th annual National Zero Waste Business Conference, “Tuning in to Zero Waste,” Wednesday, June 1 through Saturday, June 4 in Austin, TX is the premier event for waste reduction at businesses and beyond. The event is conducted by the U.S. Zero Waste Business Council (www.uszwbc.org) in partnership with local host/title sponsor Austin Resource Recovery in a city known for great music and progressive zero waste actions.

The Earth Day 50 Challenge campaign aims to recruit the top 50 corporations to engage in a responsible and respectful dialogue about implementing greener policies. A small change made at a big corporation, like Apple or Walmart, makes a big difference and we want these corporations to lead the charge on protecting our oceans, climate and forests. The kickoff meeting for the campaign will feature a documentary about climate change and brainstorming sessions on campaign tactics.

Let’s turn Black Friday into Green Friday by getting outdoors. The Friends of O.S. Gray Natural Area and Arlington Conservation Council invite you to kick off the holidays by getting outside and enjoying nature. 

Join us as we look at visible planets, constellations, stars and chat with our brilliant astronomers from the Fort Worth Astronomical Society about astronomy and their equipment. We’ll also have the campfires going and will be making s’mores, so bring your lawn chair, warm coat and flashlight!
