North Texas Corporate Recycling Association: Eco Tour - Northlake

Tour the headquarters of Farmer Brothers coffee. The tour begins with a coffee tasting to start your day followed by a brief overview of their sustainability program, with a special focus on waste reduction initiatives. Farmer Brothers’ director of sustainability, Molly Laverty, will provide a tour of the offices, highlighting some of the sustainability features and conclude the tour with a walk through the manufacturing facility and talk through some of what they’re doing in production and distribution.

UTA’s Institute for Sustainability and Global Impact: Regional Centre of Expertise in Education for Sustainable Development for North Texas - Arlington

What is a Regional Center of Expertise? In 2003, the United Nations University’s Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) launched its ESD project. This program designs and implements research and development activities through a multi-stakeholder global network of Regional Centers of Expertise (RCEs). RCEs prepare local leaders of tomorrow with the tools and information they need to make smart and sustainable choices for the future.
