John Bunker Sands Wetland Center: Bunker's Pond Trail Walk - Seagoville

Join us on the newly opened Bunker's Pond Trail and learn about the natural and cultural history of the area as we walk this 1.8 mile loop trail. The trail begins with a walk through a forested area to a true bottom land hardwood forest, then follows the East Fork on the Trinity River and ends on the Wetland levee roads. This trail is great for families and those who are interested in learning about native trees, flowers, animals and anything else we find along the way! For questions contact the Wetland Center.

Directions - Take I-635 or I-20 to Highway 175 South towards Seagoville. Drive past the Seagoville exits then exit on FM 1389 South. Drive approximately 2 miles to Martin Lane. Turn left onto Martin Lane and proceed to the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center on the right. Approx. 25 miles from downtown Dallas.

Friends of O.S. Gray Natural Area: Community Day - Arlington

This month we'll be working with the Arlington Parks Dept. to chip up the brush pile that we've created from all the privet we've removed from Rosser's Woodland. The pile has grown into a mountain of brush so we'll need a lot of help!  We'll also be prepping our Butterfly garden for winter, pulling privet, and picking up litter. Come for all or part of the day.

Please bring your favorite work gloves, shovel, litter picker upper, or gardening tools.

Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and for working in a natural area

(long pants, long sleeves, sturdy shoes, hat).

Water, hot chocolate and coffee, and snacks will be available.

O.S. Gray Natural Area has no restroom facilities, but Kroger is nearby.
