Free admission all day Open 9AM-9PM.  

Guided hikes and animal encounters throughout the day.  Kids crafts, story time and bird conservation activities.

Join our monthly FREE Third Thursday event. We'll have guided hikes and animal encounters throughout the day. Evening activities include: Special showing of Living with the Trinity at 7PM. At 8PM accompany Audubon Texas, Director of Education, Ben Jones, into the Great Trinity Forest on an Owl Prowl. Bring the whole family!

Blue Moon Paddle - Fort Worth

Blue Moon Paddle 7:30 - 10 p.m

Blue Moon Paddle: Join us by celebrating our August Blue Moon with a different type of Canoe Tour in the evening hours. This program will present new opportunities, like hearing beavers slap the water with their tails and seeing deer and raccoons. Canoes, paddles and lifejackets are provided.

Children must be 5 years or older. Parents must sign a liability waiver for minor children.

Some previous experience recommended. Registration ends preceding Tuesday or when filled. Maximum - 12 participants. Meet at Back Gate. Pre-registration required. $20 (includes admission fee)/MEMBERS $15.

Program registration may be accomplished via mail, telephone, or in person. Registrations for fee programs will not be considered confirmed until payment is received. Program fees are non-refundable and non-transferable except in the following circumstances:
 Program is cancelled by the Nature Center.
 Nature Center receives notice of cancellation 72 hours prior to scheduled program.

Kayak Power River Trip - Lewisville

Kayak down the Elm Fork with KayakPower.com: 3rd Saturday of each month
Whether you’ve got lots of river time under your belt or have never set foot in a kayak, you’re welcome here! This is a monthly bird walk. It meets on first Saturdays in odd-numbered months. And meets on first Sundays in even-numbered months.

Bring your binoculars and field guides if you have them, and learn what to watch for in habits, characteristics and calls from Gailon and Rodney, both with Prairie and Timbers Audubon Society. Expect to dickcissels, buntings and other prairie birds, hawks, etc.  All ages are welcome. Bring binoculars and bird guides, water, sun and insect protection.

Location: Connemara Meadow is located in north Plano on Alma Dr, south of Bethany Dr. (Note: entrance is in Allen.)

Spend an Adventure Day at Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center this summer!

These single-day camps run from 9:00AM-3:00PM. For children ages 5 to 9 years old.

Campers bring a sack lunch; a daily snack is provided. 

Buggin’ Around: Catch bugs, build insect traps, and get up close and personal with a real live tarantula! July 26th.

Diggin’ into DecomposersDiscover local decomposers, build a wormery, and race snails! July 27th.

Wings for a Day: Go bird watching, make feeders and meet a real live hawk! July 31st.

Lotus Lore: Come join us for some enjoyable information about one of the oldest plants on the planet which happens to be right here in our back yard. The Lotus is a fascinating water plant that is sacred to many, beautiful to most and important in many ways to us all.

We will explore facts, myths, legends and stories surrounding this most amazing plant.
