Earth Day Texas dives into ocean advocacy with new exhibits, keynote Sylvia Earle

This year, ocean health will be a focus of the festival with keynote speaker oceanographer and environmentalist Sylvia Earth, along with exhibits, film screenings and a dive pool from Go Dive Now.

Dallas movie producer launches new green film festival 

Michael Cain, a prominent Dallas movie producer, is cofounding the EARTHxFilm festival with environmentalist Trammell S. Crow. The festival, part of Earth Day Texas, will feature films, workshops, and discussions on environmental issues, aiming to inspire change.

Fort Worth-based nonprofit forms to host state park cleanups

North Texas greenies weigh in on Women's March

Thousands of North Texans marched Jan. 21 a day after the Inaugeration in solidarity with the Women’s March on Washington. The worldwide event drew nearly 700 sister marches and more than 4 million participants, according to high estimates.

They didn't venture into Cowtown, but PETA recently placed a pair of PETA billboards promoting kindness to cows in Dallas – and just a stone's throw from two McDonald's restaurants. It was a nervy gesture in a city known for its steaks and barbecue.
