#ExxonKnew protest puts Dallas activists in national spotlight

On Wednesday, North Texans rallied outside ExxonMobil’s annual shareholder meeting in downtown Dallas while inside shareholders’ efforts to hold Exxon accountable for its role in climate change made small progress – one resolution won, of 9.  

Exxon researched climate change for 10 years, then funded denial

Exxon conducted climate change research from 1977 to 1988, corroborating fossil fuels' role in global warming. Despite findings, Exxon pivoted to climate-change denial efforts in 1998, stopping research communication and funding denial campaigns to influence policy against climate action.
