Tour of Pollinative Prairie at UNT's Dawn to Dusk Student Event
Tour of campus prairie during UNT’s annual Dawn to Dusk event.
The event primarily involves organizations on and outside of the UNT campus, collaborating to raise community awareness of the need to conserve the Texas prairies.
Attendee Information
● Bring water, walking shoes
● Detailed Directions: Discovery Park's Pollinative Prairie. There is a parking lot next to the prairie. When you arrive, you will see a tool shed, which is the meeting place.
● Additional information: There will be related activities all day long if you want to make a day of it. Kalee Kroen, the event organizer: "For our student event this semester, we are collaborating with UNT's Bird Campus.
8 a.m.-9 a.m. Bird walk around the prairie.
9 a.m. - Noon. Collaborate with UNT's Big Event, a volunteer organization, to help eliminate invasive species.
Noon -1 p.m. Potluck picnic lunch
1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tour of the prairie with BNPAT.
3 p.m.-5 p.m. Live music from students at UNT.
Finally, the Texas Petal Project will end the event by talking about their organization and upcoming events.
