GSDFW Sustainable Leadership Awards: Nominations Deadline

The 2014 Green Source DFW Sustainable Leadership Awards are presented by the Memnosyne Institute to recognize people and groups in the DFW area for their exceptional leadership in the enhancement and protection of the environment. There are five categories:

  • Grass Roots Non-Profit Group or Organization
  • Volunteer
  • Entrepreneur
  • Environmental Non-Profit Professional (for example, executive director or city employee )
  • Business / Corporate Environmental Professional (individual)

The grass roots non-profit organization or group selected will receive a $500 contribution. In the other four categories, $250 will be donated to the nonprofit group of their choice.

Texas A&M AgriLife: Lawn Care Seminar - Dallas

Patrick Dickinson, a turf specialist with the Urban Water Program at Texas A&M AgriLife Research in Dallas, will teach you how to care for your lawn like an expert. Subjects covered will include basic care for your lawn, common turf problems and how to water efficiently.

Also, there will be drawings to win bags of Green Sense organic fertilizer donated by Rohde’s Nursery and Nature Store.
