Yardwise 2: Learn about water-saving practices for the landscape, and how to incorporate design principles emphasizing the use of native and adapted plants. $5-$9.
Yardwise 1: Learn about Plano soils and how to improve soil fertility through YardWise practices, which include composting, grasscycling and mulching. $5-$9.
Dr. Koyama will present a seminar on Japan's premier botanical garden. Japanese dancers will be on hand.
The exhibit documents the growth of one of Japan's premier botanical gardens. The exhibit will include plant specimens, plant photos, rare books and other memorabilia from the garden.
Learn about native plants, fall vegetable gardening and herbs from the pros at this seminar. Bring your gardening questions. Free.
Tour more than 30 local homes that feature solar power and other energy efficient features. Stops in Azle, Carrolton, Cedar HiIl, Dallas, Duncanville, Fairview, Farmers Branch, Flower Mound, Grand Prairie, Irving, Lucas, Murphy, Oak Leaf, Plano, Rowlett and Weatherford. Held in conjunction with the National Solar Home Tour.
