City of Irving: Winter Water Conservation & Winterizing Household Water Systems - Irving

Participants will learn the basic principles of winterizing their irrigation system and indoor water pipes protecting them during the potential cold weather during our North Texas winter. Citizens Climate Lobby: Meeting - Grand Prairie

Citizen's Climate Lobby (CCL) is a non-profit nonpartisan organization working on creating the political will for a livable world. CCL's mission is to empower normal citizens, who care about their world, to engage in conversations with their elected officials.

Agenda for this month’s meeting: Introductions and action items for the month from 11am to noon. From noon to 1pm, we will listen to the national call with the guest speaker, Charles Kennel, former director of Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He recently co-authored an article in the journal Nature arguing that it is time to abandon the 2C warming goal and track a range of vital signs instead, provoking “hot” debate in the climate science world.

Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association: TREIA Statewide Conference - Dallas

At Texas Renewables 2014, we will explore today’s energy landscape, give a nod to how we got here, acknowledge the significant contribution the  renewable energy industry is making, and discuss the very real role it will play and challenges it will face in shaping Texas’ energy future

Attendees, in the company of hundreds of colleagues old and new, will have the opportunity to hear and meet dozens of distinguished and accomplished speakers who are deep in the fray. Their experience and perspectives will matter as we continue pursuit of a critical and ever growing share of this state’s energy mix.

Native Prairies Association of Texas Fort Worth Chapter - Native Pollinators & Other Prairie Helpers - Fort Worth

Prairie enthusiasts, master naturalists, bird watchers, landowners, educators and anyone else interested in prairies is welcome. 

Troy Mullens as the guest speaker. If you've ever tried to identify an insect on Google, you've probably run into Troy's photographs. This will be an informative meeting for landowners, gardeners and prairie enthusiasts. Refreshments will be served at 6:30pm and the meeting will begin at 7pm.
