As human development continues to grow in Texas, habitat for our native wildlife becomes less abundant. To offset this impact, create a Texas wildscape on your property to provide vital habitat to our local wildlife. This presentation will detail the components of a wildscape and provide advice on how to create and maintain your wildscape using native vegetation. Free.

UU Church of Oak Cliff: Film Screening - "Gasland 2" - Dallas

First Tuesday Social Justice Films at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff presents “Gasland 2.”

In this explosive follow-up to his Oscar-nominated film ”Gasland,” filmmaker Josh Fox uses his trademark dark humor to take a deeper, broader look at the dangers of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, the controversial method of extracting natural gas and oil, now occurring on a global level (in 32 countries worldwide).
