"Your Environmental Road Trip" Movie Screening - Dallas

The award-winning film YERT, Your Environmental Road Trip screens. Director Ben Evans will be present for Q&A. Tickets are $8.

YERT is the inspiring story of three friends who travel across the USA, visiting each state, to find out what people are doing locally to move in a sustainable direction. So often environmental films are gloomy: this one is about how each of us can make a difference. The film has been selling out at festivals since its premiere in April. It won best film in the Yale Environmental Film Festival.

LEED for New Construction - Indoor Environmental Quality

This session will explore the LEED Indoor Environmental Quality category in a credit by credit format. We will look at the overall intent of this category, as well as the individual intent of the prerequisites and credits within it. We will also discuss the requirements and verification steps necessary to achieve each credit and some real world examples of strategies used to fulfill each measure.

This session explores two LEED credit categories, Water Efficiency and Innovation in Design, in a credit by credit format, reviewing the overall category intents and the individual intents of the prerequisites and credits within it. Learn the technical requirements of the credits and, through real-world case examples shared by USGBC LEED Faculty, strategies that work to achieve them.

US Green Bldg Council's Energy Summit - Houston

The U.S. Green Building Council-Texas Gulf Coast Chapter is partnering with an array of non-profit leaders to produce high quality energy-efficiency education to the commercial industry. The Houston Chapter of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and Houston Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE) are among those that are inspired to bring a premiere educational summit to Houston, one that will promote discussion and knowledge about energy and green issues along the Texas Gulf Coast.
