Eco-Bus Tour - Dallas

The North Texas Corporate Recycling Association is hosting this recycling bus tour with stops at Hilex Poly, a plastic bag recycler, and CKS Packaging, a plastic bottle recycler. Meet for lunch at Chicken Hatch at 11:30 a.m. and The Foundry beer garden for networking after the tour. No jewelry or cameras allowed; wear close-toe flat shoes. Cost: $15/NTCRA members; $20/nonmembers. Includes lunch and drink at networking event. Registration deadline Nov. 13.

E-Waste Recycling - Arlington

The city of Arlington hosts this event in honor of Texas Recycles Day. Arlington residents can bring old monitors, keyboards, printers, radios, VCRs, video cameras – anything electronic, with the exception of large, household appliances such as refrigerators, washers and dryers. Call 817-317-2000 for disposal of those items. Proof of Arlington residency is required.

Women in the Environment: Lady Bird Johnson Middle School Tour - Irving

Women in the Environment is hosting is this tour of the only net-zero energy school in Texas and the largest net-zero energy school in the U.S. Meet at Spring Creek Barbeque, 3514 West Airport Freeway, irving, for lunch at 11:45. Meet at the Lady Bird Johnson Middle School, 3601 Pioneer Drive, Irving, at 1:15 p.m. Parking is in the front (south side) of the school. Enter through the main doors on the south side of the building. All visitors must bring valid photo ID (drivers license) to be processed through the school’s security system prior to the tour. America Recycles Day - Fort Worth

Hosted by the city of Fort Worth. Bring proof that you are a Fort Worth resident (driver’s license or water bill) to LaGrave Field and get personal documents shredded; recycle tires, light bulbs, batteries and electronics; and pick up pre-ordered rain barrels and compost bins. This event is for Fort Worth residents only. Business or commercial waste cannot be accepted.
