Zero Waste DFW Alliance: Final Vote: Fort Worth 20-Year Recycling Plan - Fort Worth

Join recycling advocates at City Hall as officials consider the final adoption of Fort Worth's 20-year recycling plan. We want to ensure that the most ambitious programs, like composting in neighborhoods and restaurants, recycling for businesses and industrial operations, are included.

Public testimony is needed to remind Fort Worth city council members that we want the best programs for recycling and composting no matter where we live, work or play. You can sign up to testify at the meeting and you will have three minutes at the microphone.

Defend Texas Trees: Lorax Storytime - Austin

Texas tree advocates will host a storytime at the Texas Capitol to read Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax under some of the building’s historic oak trees. Following the storytime, which we anticipate will feature lawmakers and special guests reading the book, families and advocates will deliver copies of The Lorax to key Texas legislators to urge them against stripping local governments of their tree preservation rules.
