GSDFW Sustainable Leadership Awards: Nominations Deadline

The 2014 Green Source DFW Sustainable Leadership Awards are presented by the Memnosyne Institute to recognize people and groups in the DFW area for their exceptional leadership in the enhancement and protection of the environment. There are five categories:

  • Grass Roots Non-Profit Group or Organization
  • Volunteer
  • Entrepreneur
  • Environmental Non-Profit Professional (for example, executive director or city employee )
  • Business / Corporate Environmental Professional (individual)

The grass roots non-profit organization or group selected will receive a $500 contribution. In the other four categories, $250 will be donated to the nonprofit group of their choice.

University of Dallas: How Companies Can Profit from Sustainability - Irving

Panel will discuss how organizations define sustainability, the processes they use, the outcomes they expect to achieve and the tangible and intangible benefits of their respective sustainability strategies.

Texas Campaign for the Environment: Recycling Wish List Fundraiser - Dallas

Susybelle Gosslee, Advocacy Chair for the Dallas League of Women Voters, will be hosting a party at her home in North Dallas. Special appearance by Dallas' longest-serving City Council Member, Sandy Greyson, and a "Recycling Wish List" that guests will create to send in a letter to the North Pole. Come eat, drink and be merry! $25 minimum. Tickets include food from Celebration Restaurant and drinks from Salt Lick Cellars, Peticolas Brewery and Tito's Vodka. All proceeds will benefit Texas Campaign for the Environment! 

Texas Campaign for the Environment: Thanks for Giving Fundraiser - Dallas

Mariana and Scott Griggs—named Best City Council Member by the Dallas Observer—will be hosting a fundraising party at their home in North Oak Cliff. Tickets include food from Celebration Restaurant and drinks from Lakewood Brewing Company, Salt Lick Cellars  and Tito's Vodka. All proceeds benefit Texas Campaign for the Environment. $25 minimum.
